The ATEAM Leadership will kick off its second annual "Pennies for Patients" campaign! This is a fundraiser and social awareness initiative for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Students are invited to collect spare change to support LLS’s mission: To cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease and myeloma, and to improve the quality of life of patients and their families. By giving young students the opportunity to raise funds in honor of local, school-aged patients battling blood cancer, students learn quickly that every bit can make a difference.
On Friday May 1st your child received a collection box of his or her own for collecting spare change. Receptacles will be available in both the lower/upper division entrance for easy dispensing of collected funds (please be sure to transfer your child's collected funds from the collection box into Ziploc bags). Checks are also acceptable and should be made payable to “The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.” If you would like to donate online on behalf of Saxe, please click below:
This campaign will run from Friday May 1st to Monday May 11th.
We need a few parent volunteers to help with the depositing of funds (taking the funds from Saxe and depositing them into the TD Bank Account in New Canaan). If interested, please click here.
Last year Saxe won an award for being the "first time participant" highest grossing school in CT by raising over $4000! We hope to raise even more awareness and money this year!
