PTC Membership

The Saxe PTC is a network of volunteers dedicated to working together with the faculty, staff, and students at Saxe. Our goal is to make the middle school experience rewarding for all by supporting events, online initiatives, and fundraising efforts for Saxe. We’d love to count you among us. No experience is necessary, and there are no extra to-dos. Memberships are annual, and the new school year means new memberships. Connecticut State Law requires ALL students to have a physical exam during sixth grade. The CT Health Assessment form needs to be on file in the nurses office by the last day of 6th grade. We accept physicals dated from June 1, 2023. 

Upon completion of the exam, please email or bring the completed CT health assessment record to the lower division health office. Please contact your school nurse, Joelle Graham, with any questions. She can be reached at joelle.graham@ncps-k12.org or at (203) 594-4526.

Join New Canaan Library for a special visit from local author Lauren Tarshis to celebrate the release of I Survived the Black Death, 1348! This is her 24th book in the I Survived series. Full Court Peace's first-ever short documentary about the world-renown Hansel Enmanuel, the hero from our program in Santo Domingo will be released at the New Canaan Library on November 17th. Join us to hear about the story of the Dominican boy who turned into a global sensation all while beating the odds.

For over 20 years our community has joined together the Sunday before Thanksgiving to create a fun morning for all, and support Open Doors in Norwalk, CT with a 5k run through Waveny Park. This effort is led entirely by NCHS students, with the support of their families.
Throughout these many years we have succeeded in raising awareness and funds for this important non-profit that serves so many in need. Please join us in signing up HERE.

Wrestling not only develops strength, balance, and coordination, but also fosters independence, accountability, self-discipline, and mental toughness. These skills complement team sports perfectly! These four high school juniors are passionate about helping kids enhance their educational skills and grow in their learning journey. They offer one-on-one tutoring and after-school homework help for students in grades K-6 at the New Canaan Library in the following subjects: reading, writing, social studies, math, science, French and Spanish. All earnings go towards nonprofit Children Incorporated. Drop your kids off at the New Canaan Library for 30-minute or one-hour sessions.
