Saxe Intermediate School's 5th and 6th graders are bringing holiday magic to the stage with Elf JR., a musical based on the beloved Christmas movie. Follow Buddy the Elf as he leaves the North Pole for New York City, discovering his true identity and spreading Christmas cheer along the way. Tickets are on sale now. Click HERE to purchase.

Please bring in two dozen cookies in a disposable container and drop off at Saxe main office on Tuesday, December 17 or Wednesday, December 18 (between the hours of 8:00 AM and 4;00 PM). PTC Membership

The Saxe PTC is a network of volunteers dedicated to working together with the faculty, staff, and students at Saxe. Our goal is to make the middle school experience rewarding for all by supporting events, online initiatives, and fundraising efforts for Saxe. We’d love to count you among us. No experience is necessary, and there are no extra to-dos. Memberships are annual, and the new school year means new memberships. Connecticut State Requirement for 6th Grade Students

Connecticut State Law requires ALL students to have a physical exam during sixth grade. The CT Health Assessment form needs to be on file in the nurses office by the last day of 6th grade. We accept physicals dated from June 1, 2023. 

Upon completion of the exam, please email or bring the completed CT health assessment record to the lower division health office. Please contact your school nurse, Joelle Graham, with any questions. She can be reached at joelle.graham@ncps-k12.org or at (203) 594-4526.

Volunteers Needed: 7/8th Grade Chorus Concert

December 17 at 7:00 PM

Parent volunteers are needed for the 7th and 8th grade Winter Chorus Concert. Please come help chaperone before and during the show. You will still get to see your child perform! Please click HERE to sign up for a volunteer spot.

NCHS Annual Winter Singalong

The 3rd Annual NCHS Winter Sing Along is back! On Tuesday, December 3, from 6:00-7:00 PM, come to the Carriage Barn Arts Center for a festive evening of music and joy. Bring your friends and family to sing along to your favorite songs and enjoy seasonal crafts and snacks! Ticket proceeds support students in the NCPS Music Programs. Purchase yours today HERE

The Exchange Club Christmas Tree Tradition

Participate in a New Canaan tradition and get your Christmas tree and wreaths in Kiwanis Park (77 Old Norwalk Road). Proceeds go to many local charities. The Exchange Club transforms Kiwanis Park into a Christmas village. There are  over 1,200 trees, including Fraser Firs and Balsams—along with a variety of wreaths, roping, tree stands and other seasonal merchandise. Fun for the whole family! There is a mailbox for letters addressed to Santa and Santa will personally reply (don't forget to include return address). Take a ride around the neighborhood on the Old Faithful classic fire engine. Click HERE for more information.

Registration is Now Open! We’re thrilled to offer your child(ren) the chance to join one of the state’s largest youth wrestling programs. Wrestling not only develops strength, balance, and coordination, but also fosters independence, accountability, self-discipline, and mental toughness. These skills complement team sports perfectly!
