Co-Presidents Letter

Happy New Year! We hope everyone had a great two weeks off and took time to relax, reset and enjoy quality time with loved ones.  We are very thankful for everyone who made 2024 a great start to the school year and are excited to see what 2025 has in store. January will be busy with concerts, the 8th grade transition coffee and our annual joint PTC meeting with the PFA and Dr. Luizzi.

Saxe PTC Joint Meeting with NCHS PFA

January 8 at 9:30 AM, NCHS Wagner Room

Join the NCHS PFA and the Saxe PTC for the first General Meeting of 2025 on January 8 at 9:30 AM. Superintendent Dr. Bryan Luizzi will be our guest speaker and will provide an update on the current school year as well as discuss the 2024-2025 budgeting process.

Parent Volunteers are needed to help chaperone the upcoming band concerts on January 29 and 30. While your student is performing you will be able to watch him/her in the audience. Please click below to sign up to help!

PTC Membership

The Saxe PTC is a network of volunteers dedicated to working together with the faculty, staff, and students at Saxe. Our goal is to make the middle school experience rewarding for all by supporting events, online initiatives, and fundraising efforts for Saxe. We’d love to count you among us. No experience is necessary, and there are no extra to-dos. Memberships are annual, and the new school year means new memberships. 5th/6th Grade Winter Chorus Concert Volunteers Needed!

Connecticut State Requirement for 6th Grade Students

Connecticut State Law requires ALL students to have a physical exam during sixth grade. The CT Health Assessment form needs to be on file in the nurses office by the last day of 6th grade. We accept physicals dated from June 1, 2024. 

Upon completion of the exam, please email or bring the completed CT health assessment record to the lower division health office. Please contact your school nurse, Joelle Graham, with any questions. She can be reached at joelle.graham@ncps-k12.org or at (203) 594-4526.

Join us on Thursday, January 16, 2025, at 9:30 AM at East Elementary School for our Transition to Kindergarten orientation, where you'll gain valuable insights into social, emotional, and developmental milestones, daily schedules, bus routines, and more. Note: We encourage all incoming parents from South, East, and West, to pre-register their child before the event to ensure proper class placement. Full Court Peace 3v3 Winter Classic

Grab three friends and enter the 1st Annual Full Court Peace 3v3 Winter Classic on March 9, 2025 at St. Luke's. Girls and Boys Divisions available with brackets for 5/6th grade, 7/8th grade and high school players. Entry fee of $75/team with a cap of four players per team. Click HERE to register.
