Donate to Teacher & Staff Appreciation Week

Teacher & Staff Appreciation Week at Saxe Middle & Intermediate Schools will run from May 5 to May 9. It’s a special time to recognize and celebrate the hard work, dedication, and passion of our incredible staff members. From teachers to support staff and administrators, this week is dedicated to showing gratitude for all they do to create a positive and enriching environment for our students. The week's festivities are paid for solely by donations from our families and we couldn't do all of this without the support of our amazing Saxe community. Please click HERE to donate.

We plan to show our appreciation each day with fun surprises, sweet treats, breakfast and lunch. Thank you for your support!

New Canaan Chamber Music Children's Concert

May 18 at 3:00 PM, New Canaan Library

Join us at this unique "Listen and Learn" activity at Children's Concert at the New Canaan Library. With mesmerizing charm and wit, Andy Armstrong will introduce children to classical music from Antonio Vivaldi’s “The Four Seasons.” The music evokes the sounds of nature from murmuring streams and birdsong to thunderstorms and hunting horns and will be performed by Music Conservatory students. The concert is free for children with an adult ticket holder. Click HERE to reserve tickets and for more information.

Waveny Playground Fundraiser

Let's build Waveny Playground brick by brick. Friends of Waveny Playground is excited to announce our fundraising campaign for an all-abilities playspace located inside Waveny Park! We are asking the community to show support for this incredible endeavor that will benefit our children for years to come. This is a unique opportunity for your family's name to be displayed on a brick via the Legacy Walkway or on our playground Welcome Sign. Click HERE to visit our website to view brick options and make a purchase. For sign opportunities or to ask any questions, email ncwavenyplayground@gmail.com

Ben Young All-Sports Camp

The Ben Young All-Sports Camp strives to get children active in an inclusionary and positive environment where they can take part in fun sports and games. Activities range from basketball, soccer, tennis, and baseball to capture the flag, four-square, cornhole, relays, etc.

This camp features an incredible crew of certified teachers and high school/college counselors that are all charismatic, mature, nurturing, and responsible—and they each genuinely enjoy being with children. (There are four certified teachers and over 100 students on staff!)

There will be four separate, one-week sessions at New Canaan High School. Click HERE for more information and to register. Contact Ben Young if you have additional questions!
