Thank You Video
Deadline: April 23
Monday, May 3rd is the kickoff to National Teacher Appreciation Week and we hope you will join us in thanking our teachers and staff for their efforts this year! Please show your gratitude and help celebrate the Saxe faculty and staff by sending in a “virtual thank you.” Click HERE to submit a photo or video thanking an individual teacher or an entire color team. We will share these with the staff at the conclusion of Teacher Appreciation Week. We can’t wait to see what you come up with! Photos and videos can be uploaded using the Google form link (Google email login is required). Photos can be submitted in either vertical or horizontal format. Videos must be recorded in the horizontal (landscape) format only and can be no longer than 10 seconds. The deadline for submissions is Friday, April 23.
Saxe Staff Appreciation Week will be the first week of May and we are preparing to shower the entire staff with love and gratitude.
We have a special treat planned each day of the week:
May 3 - Staff Gifts
May 4 - Bubble & Brew Coffee Truck
May 5 - Catered Lunch by Simply Delicious
May 6 - Desserts prepared by Peyton's Pastries
May 7 - Video of gratitude from the students
In the past, we have asked families to donate food and desserts for lunch. Due to Covid concerns, we are instead asking for a monetary donation to help with the cost of the catered box lunch and packaged cookies and dessert bars. Please consider donating HERE. Thank you for your support.
Saxe Grade 5 Berry/Hamman Community Service Project
As part of the community service agenda in the New Canaan School system - the 5th Grade Green Team class has chosen to focus their efforts on the growing needs of animal shelters in our area - the same shelters where many of the kids adopted their family pet. Covid-19 has only made the situation worse as families with hardships are no longer able to take care of their pet. The class will be making toys for the pets, and encouraging donations of needed products for the shelter through the Amazon Smiles wishlist program and cash donation through a Go Fund Me page.
