Welcome to Saxe PTC
Saxe Staff Appreciation Week
Saxe Staff Appreciation Week will be the first week of May and we are preparing to shower the entire staff with love and gratitude.
We have a special treat planned each day of the week:
May 3 - Notes of gratitude delivered to teachers
May 4 - Bubble & Brew Coffee Truck
May 5 - Catered Lunch by Simply Delicious
May 6 - Desserts prepared by Peyton's Pastries
May 7 - Staff gifts
In the past, we have asked families to donate food and desserts for lunch. Due to Covid concerns, we are instead asking for a monetary donation to help with the cost of the catered box lunch and packaged cookies and dessert bars. Please consider donating HERE. Thank you for your support.

End of Year Activities
We are in the process of working with the Saxe administration and the NCPS Central Office to approve end of the year activities for all our grade levels, and in particular the 8th grade class. As soon as the events and dates have been approved, we will share the details with students and families.
5th Grade Transition
All current 4th graders will receive a "Welcome to Saxe" packet from their elementary teachers on May 5. Dr. Clapp will be visiting each elementary school and holding a Zoom meeting with the 4th grade classes in mid-May. He will also hold a virtual webinar for parents on May 26 at 5:30 PM. A special virtual 360° tour of Saxe will be available to students and families around May 28. Full details can be found in the e-mail sent to 4th grade families from Dr. Clapp on April 27.
CT State Requirement for 6th Grade Students
Connecticut State Law requires ALL students to have a physical exam during sixth grade. The CT Health Assessment form needs to be on file in the nurse’s office by the last day of 6th grade. We accept physicals dated from June 1st 2020. Upon completion of the exam, please email the completed CT health assessment record to the lower division health office. You may contact your school nurse, Joelle Graham, with any questions. She can be reached at email@example.com or at (203) 594-4526
