Camp Overview: The Ben Young All-Sports Camp is entering its 11th year, and there will be four separate, one week, 9 AM-12 PM sessions at New Canaan High School between 6/23-6/27, 6/30-7/4, 7/7-7/11, and 7/14-7/18. This camp is designed for students in (rising) grades K-8, but they do welcome all children turning five this calendar year, and the program strives to get children active in an inclusionary and positive environment where they can take part in fun sports and games. Activities vary from basketball, soccer, tennis, and baseball, to capture the flag, four-square, cornhole, relays, etc., and there are some water activities too. (Over twenty different sports/games will be played each week!) Also, this camp features an incredible crew of certified teachers and high school/college counselors that are all highly charismatic, mature, nurturing, and responsible, and they each genuinely enjoy being with children. (There are 4 certified teachers and over 100 students on staff!).
Background: Ben grew up in New Canaan, going through the public school system here, and graduated from Bucknell University, where he was a 2-year Co-Captain of their Division I tennis team. This is now Ben’s 17th year at Saxe, and he absolutely loves being a 7th grade language arts teacher and a member/advisor of numerous clubs and committees.
