Everyone has a unique story to tell! During Celebrate Saxe week, beginning October 2nd, our students will have the opportunity to share their own Saxe stories — their favorite memories, experiences, and what makes Saxe special to them. The week will include special Spirit Week activities, along with a special assembly that we are currently finalizing and will announce very soon.

Celebrate Saxe is our week-long fundraising effort that supports student-focused initiatives throughout the year. In previous years, the PTC has used funds raised during Celebrate Saxe to make meaningful enhancements to community spaces including:
- Investing in outdoor courtyard spaces to make them more welcoming and usable
- Refreshing banners and artwork throughout the building
- Providing a brand new state-of-the-art outdoor basketball court
- Transforming “Hawks Cafe” with new cafe-style furniture outside the cafeteria
- Continuing to enhance community spaces for students to share their story with friends.
But Celebrate Saxe is about so much more than these larger projects, including:
Teacher Appreciation
- Dinners on Open House evenings
- Meals during in-service days
- Full week of Teacher Appreciation in May
Classroom Enhancements
Just in the last few weeks, we’ve provided grants for:
- flexible seating and carpets to support Rise and Shine time at the Intermediate School
- storage solutions to maximize classroom space
- sensory items for a new self-regulation space in the school.
Experiences:
- Colonial Day to our 5th grade classes
- A Greek Mythology Workshop to the 6th grade
- Poetry in Motion to the 7th grade
- Shakesperience to the 8th grade
On average, the PTC spends $185 per student per year, thanks to the incredible support of our parent community during Celebrate Saxe each year.
